Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana has praised Hollywood actor, Boris Kodjoe and Marketing Executive, Bozoma Saint John for the contributions to the successful ‘Year of Return’ initiative.
Speaking during the State of Nation Address on Thursday, February 20, 2020, he singled out the individuals for “leveraging their star-power to attract thousands to the land of their fathers, and to drive a fresh narrative that says Ghana is a land of opportunity; visit, invest, make it your home.”
“I should thank two people in particular who have embraced their Ghanaian heritage and have played a key role in our effort to building lasting bridges between Ghana and African-Americans,” stated Akufo-Addo.
“Hollywood star, Boris Kodjoe and international marketing icon, Bozoma Saint John.”
The likes of Steve Harvey, Ludacris, T.I, Lupita Nyongo, Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, Idris Elba, Naomi Campbell, Anthony Anderson, Kofi Kingston, Akon, Rick Ross, Cardi B and thousands of people visited the country as part of the ‘Year of Return’ initiative.
