Ghanaian artiste, Sarkodie has been named as a performer at the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival alongside some big names on the American music scene.
livefmghana.com gathers the scheduled performance by the ‘Lucky’ artiste is part of a “month long cultural salute to Ghana” initiative by organizers.
The reasons for the salute includes cultural significance, poignant history, unique art and music communities, making Ghana the seventh African country to be honored in the festival’s forty-four-year history.
The festival will be held between May 1 and May 3, 2020 at the Tom Lee Park, Memphis, United States of America, and will also feature performances by the likes of Lil Wayne, Leon Bridges, Nelly, and DaBaby.
The first Beale Street Music Festival was held in 1977.
