“Very sad” to hear about death of “exceptionally talented” Kofi B – Kofi Okyere Darko

Ghanaian Media Personality, Kofi Okyere Darko is mourning the death of Ghanaian highlife singer, Kofi B.

The award-winning artiste died early morning Sunday, February 2, 2020 in the Central Region hours before a birthday party performance for the chief of Abaase Domenase.

livefmghana.com gathers the ‘Yaw Dompre’ act complained to colleague, Kofi Nti about experiencing chest pains and unusual heartbeat prior to the scheduled performance.

The hitmaker was receiving treatment for high blood pressure at End Point Homeopathic before his death. The dead body of the singer has been transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for autopsy.

“Very sad to hear of the passing of one of the most talented musicians I managed from day one,” reads a tweet posted by Darko.

“Kofi B was an exceptionally talented musician and it was a delight spending time with him in the studio with Ofori Amponsah at the turn of the last millennium.”

Born Kofi Boakye Yiadom, he is known for hit songs including ‘Mmbrowa,’ ‘Bantama Kofi Boakye,’ ‘Sika Dwa,’ ‘Mo Bra Wa’ and Koforidua Flowers.’

He alos collaborated with Nti and Ofori Amponsah on many hit songs.
