Benoni Tagoe has been named President of ‘Raedio’ – a new label by Emmy-nominated actress, Issa Rae and Atlantic Records.
He will lead the plan to champion the next generation of artists and present a progressive paradigm for the music industry.
Tagoe, the longtime Business Development Executive of Issa Rae Productions produced shows including ‘Awkward Black Girl,’ ‘FIRST’ and ‘Black Actress.’
An announcement by the company highlights its quest to serve “artists and creators at the highest level as an “audio everywhere company.”
The platform will align acts with film and television projects, commercials, podcasts, and other endeavors, according to a Variety report.
As part of the partnership, Singer and rapper, TeaMarrr was unveiled as the first act on the label. Her song ‘Kinda Love’ and video were also released.
“Music has always been an essential part of every project I do and working with emerging talent is a personal passion,” Rae said. “Raedio allows me to continue that work within the music industry and audio entertainment space. The Atlantic Records team are innovators in terms of shifting and shaping culture. I’m excited to join forces with them to discover new artists. ”

Raedio also provides music supervision services for HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show.”
