American comedian and Television host, Conan O’Brien is heading to Ghana.
He will be in the West African country with American-Ghanaian comedian and ‘Veep’ actor, Sam Richardson for a week to tape an upcoming ‘Conan Without Borders’ episode.
The trip is on the invitation of Adjei Bawuah, Ghana’s ambassador to the United States.
O’Brien is best known for hosting several late-night talk shows since 2010, he has hosted Conan on the cable channel TBS.
Richardson played Richard Splett in the recently-ended series ‘Veep’ and co-starred in Detroiters opposite Tim Robinson. In 2019, he portrayed Alf in the YouTube Premium series Champaign ILL.
He was born to a Ghanaian mother and an African-American father.
Richardson won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the 2018 Screen Actor Guild Awards for his work on Veep.
