Ghanaian visual artiste. Prince Gyasi is set to represent Ghana at the Art on Paper exhibition in New York, United States of America.
The exhibition starts on Thursday, March 7 and will end on Sunday, March 10 at Manhattan’s Pier 36.
There will be one hundred galleries featuring top modern and contemporary paper-based art. Art on Paper’s medium-driven focus lends itself to significant projects – unique moments that have set the fair apart and established it as an important destination for the arts in New York City.
Brooklyn Museum, Art Money, Arta, The Lower Eastside Girls Club, Ace Hotel, and The Wall Street Journal are partners for the exhibition.
Known for his amazing craft Gyasi last represented the country at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2019 in South Africa,
He earlier this year produced a project for music streaming giant, Apple to highlight Hiplife music in Ghana. It sees the capturing of the journey of Ghanaian artistes and music through generations via photography.
The likes of Okyeame Kwame, Reggie Rocktsone, GyeduBlayAmbolley, Guru, Abrewa Nana, Joey B, E.L, and Kwesi Arthur were featured.
