Over the weekend over 100 journalists gathered at the Marvels Mini Golf Club, Dzorwulu in Accra for the annual Year-End Media Party hosted by Multichoice Ghana.

This annual event is organized by the Pay-TV suppliers of DStv and GOtv in Ghana to herald the Christmas festivities and thank journalists and media practitioners for their support.

The annual end of year party which came off on Friday, December 7, 2018, brought together editors, show producers, show hosts, presenters, creative writers, advertising agencies and TV station owners together for an afternoon of fun, games and fraternising. Welcoming the journalists, Nii Amah Dagadu, Corporate Affairs Manager at MultiChoice Ghana thanked the journalist for unflinching partnership throughout the year.

He added that “our customers interests are at the centre of all decisions we make, thus we are constantly finding the best way to make it convenient for them to access our great content.” This year we launched ROK 3 channel to give the Ghana film industry an outlet for our films, on the other hand we worked with Fiesta TV have the channel carried on the Africa platform making it accessible in over 40 countries across Africa a fantastic window for musician and producers to market their works to African audiences.

On her part Anne Sackey Head of Marketing, MultiChoice Ghana shared some of the offers available for subscribers this festive period including the over 25% discount on the Explora decoder. She added that DStv and GOtv customers can now access live chat via social media making it easier for customers to get resolution of any challenges they may have with their DStv or GOtv accounts in the comfort of their homes.

The Beach themed media party saw the journalists being treated to a Mini-golf play-off, board games and a sumptuous buffet; lucky journalist went home with assorted prizes including an Explora Decoder set and an assortment of DStv and GOtv branded souvenirs.

Wrapping up the day’s activities Nii Amah Dagadu added, this Christmas DStv customers should expect a lot of live shows broadcast from Accra on the Events Channel 196; these include the Saminifest Concert on the 22ndof December, CABIC Boxing Night on the 24thof December, the Rapperholic Concert on Christmas Day and the Afrochella Festival on 29thDecember to air on DStv and Fiesta TV on GOtv.
