Lynx Entertainment artiste, Kuami Eugene been accused of ‘biting’ off songs by other artistes “got to be intentional” says Singer and rapper, Kofi Kinaata.

The latter was speaking on an allegation the former has been forced to address many times.

“Sometimes it is just by coincidence; you know, like they say, great minds think alike. So it is possible to say things similar to what others may have said in the past without knowing,” stated Kinaata during an interview with EL on Adumapamere on Connect FM.

“if the same accident happens twice consecutively, it’s got to be intentional.”

He also added that it is totally okay to sample songs by other people, but finds it to be an insult to the intelligence of the music fan to sample another person’s work and present it as though it is new.

“If we do not know the song, it is hiding in an obscure corner, and it has to take some people to hunt for the original composers, then that is a clear insult to our intelligence and an attempt to look sharp.”

Eugene was accused of biting off a song by Malian singer Sidiki Diabate for his ‘Confusion‘ song, and also Nigerian rapper Ice Prince on his recent song ‘Wish Me Well.’
