Sports Presenter, CountryMan Songo is making a return to Television screens.
He was suspended for his utterances about Kwesi Nyantakyi, former president of the Ghana Football Association – mainly on issues surrounding corruption amongst officials of the football governing body in Ghana.
Nyantakyi sued Songo and the Multi Media Group Limited for the allegations made about him. Songo was taken off air when he continued making allegations even after the suit.
#Number12 – an expose by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, an investigative Journalist seems to have vindicated the statements by Songo.
Nyantakyi was caught on tape using the name of President Akufo Addo to extort monies from supposed foreign investors.
He has since resigned his posts at the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Confederation of African Football (CAF) and West African Football Union (WAFU).
He served on the FIFA Council, was the Vice-President of CAF, and also the President of WAFU.
