One of the biggest events on the African fashion calendar, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Accra (MBFWAccra) is calling for models to be casted on May 27 at the Swiss Spirit Hotel, Accra ahead of the main event.
According to Gideon Raji, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Global Ovations, the decision to cast models ahead of the fashion week is to enable both local and international designers prepare their collections on time to fit the models.
“Also we believe this platform will give a lot of models the international exposure they have always been looking for, so don’t be surprised to see Ghanaian models walk on the Mercedes-benz Fashion Week runway in Berlin and Paris.” He told livefmghana.com.
The CEO who doubles as the Executive Director for the MBFWAccra added that this celebration of fashion is a catalyst for designers both home and abroad to seamlessly connect with the media and fashion buyers, influencers and enthusiasts.
He then entreated models to participate in this session because it is a unique opportunity to not only bring art to life but also network and diversify their portfolios.
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Accra formerly known as Mercedes-Benz African Fashion Festival serves as a global voice of fashion.
The main event will come off from July 27 to 29 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra and will feature local and international designers. Silverstar Auto Ltd are headline partners for the event.
