QSL Private Members Club in Johannesburg, South Africa to open Sept

“At QSL, we want to use this great vision to help Africa rise to her greatness and full potential by connecting great African minds.” – Ronald Ndoro, Founder

The launch of the new QSL Members Club will bring a unique and special African vision to life in 2018.

This club is no ordinary members club, and has been conceptualised and brought to fruition by two great visionaries Ronald Ndoro and Rahim Rawjee.

What sets this space apart from the other members clubs, is its exceptional offering and mission, i.e. to become the African hub for the forward thinkers, the agents of change, the creatives and the idea generators, all in an exclusive environment. Whether it be to meet others or to relax in a comfortable environment, this oasis situated in the concrete jungle of Johannesburg, will offer likeminded individuals a space to stay, to come together and network, dine, relax, or enjoy a sundowner looking out towards the city skyline. A home away from home.

Think of QSL SA as a home for those who are moving the world forward, and this home is a tailored, exquisitely intimate and textured space that is busy being completed in the heart of downtown Jozi. An environment designed to follow your lead, it could be a luxurious retreat or a robust engine room, a glamorous hangout or a quiet workspace, a friend’s apartment or an atmospheric late-night party.

Members will be able to marvel at African artwork and designs, experience exceptional world-class service and concierge as well as delight in scrumptious dishes created by Michelin Star Chef, Daniel Galmiche in his auspicious new South African restaurant on the premises. Members can also look forward to private dining, a contemporary lounge with a stage, bar and plunge pool, a spectacular mezzanine champagne bar, a whisky and cigar lounge and a private screening room.

Once the space is complete, the facilities will include:

  • 24-hour reception and concierge
  • 32 luxurious bedrooms
  • Main lounge with a stage, exclusive bar, champagne bar and plunge pool
  • Restaurant with a private dining room
  • Kitchen and chef’s table

Ronald Ndoro, the visionary behind the concept, is a London based entrepreneur. He founded LIBRARY private members club in London’s Covent Garden and is currently building a boutique hotel in Antigua. He is also the founder of The Needle App, an event management and networking tool. As fate would have it, Ronald Ndoro met Rahim Rawjee, the creative brain and entrepreneur behind the high-end men’s fashion brand Row-G, at a wedding in South Africa a little over a year ago. It was here that the concept for the QSL Members Club was born. Both gentlemen, with their wealth of experience in building businesses and brands, wanted to create a unique space for African entrepreneurs, captains of industry, artists, creatives and visionaries to come together and move Africa forward through creativity and collaboration.

“QSL is no ordinary members club, it’s about growing the space to become a hub for creative thinking, strategic meetings and visionary idea generation. It is also a place to meet old friends and make new connections and is an environment for agents of change to congregate and conceptualize forward-thinking initiatives. The idea is so much more than the bricks and mortar of the space. The African continent is brimming with potential and, at QSL, we want to use this great vision to help rise Africa to her greatness and full potential by connecting great African minds,” says Ndoro.

In January 2018, the QSL team will be, by invitation only, reaching out to 200 founder members to join the club with an exclusive membership of R10 000 per annum. These founder members will then become the foundation on which the rest of the club’s membership is built on. The team will be encouraging founder members to reach out to their networks and will be incentivised – with a lifetime membership – to invite friends, business partners and colleagues to participate and become members themselves.

By joining QSL SA, members will receive automatic access to an international network of likeminded clubs such as; LIBRARY Private Member’s Club in London, Brody House in Budapest, The Oasis Collection in Buenos Aires and São Paulo, Explorers Club in New York, Griffen Club in Los Angeles and Capital Club in Dubai, Bahrain and Kenya. As soon as members sign up, these benefits kick in, as well others like VIP appointments with QSL SA partner tailor, Row-G, and invitations to exclusive thought sharing events led by brilliant minds.
