Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy says he decided to have a baby after marriage because he doesn’t want any baby mama drama.
“This is my first child. No baby mama drama. I have to build my career besides my family so this is me having to be a responsible father and a married man. It is bigger than being a baby father. This is worth emulating,” explained Stonebwoy to JOY NEWS’ MzGee.
“I have always had it at the back of my mind to be able to build a family and grow it.”
He also spoke about naming his daughter after his late mother.
“Even if she were alive, I’d still had named my first daughter after her. For me, Catherine is back in my own hands, under my own care. Anything I wished to do for my mother, now I can do.”
The ‘Mama‘ act married his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla in June 2017.
The traditional marriage rites for the couple was held on June 16, 2017, at the bride’s family home at Tema, followed by a White wedding at the Unique Floral at the Trade Fair Centre, Accra.
The ‘Falling Again‘ act spoke about his decision to get married in an interview on Glitterati, a lifestyle magazine show.
“It is a responsible life. It’s only persons who have the intentions to grow themselves better in life that seek to look at that aspect of it because… it is not anything too risky like people say. Probably people are making up too many excuses to get responsible.”
Dr. Satekla (nee Kwakye Ansong) is a star in her own right.
She gained nationwide acclaim when she emerged as the Overall Best Student (Dental Surgery) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) winning 6 out of 9 awards during the school’s graduation ceremony in 2016.
