The list of nominees for ‘Live Artiste of the Month‘ for February 2018 has been announced.
King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Joey B, Jason, D Black and Mabiina will compete for the ultimate – bragging rights and a promotional package by Live 91.9 FM.
Live FM Artiste of the Month is another instalment of the hugely popular GH Wednesday Live on air delight by Ghana’s favourite youth brand.
It seeks to celebrate Ghanaian artistes for their trend-setting, creative and innovative abilities, and also give upcoming artistes the needed commercial buzz, and also a breadth of fresh air for the music industry.
JASON – Jason’s been dropping hot tunes since mid-2017. But this year he released one of his biggest singles yet; with Kwesi Arthur singing on a hook that gives the song a memorable vibe. The tune spent 6 weeks on the charts and enjoyed a lot of airplay during the vals day season.
DBLACK – The BAM CEO dropped a mixtape with dope collaborations. The Hunger & Thirst Mixtape has a star studded feature list of songs that have enjoyed major airplay especially Julie which features Bisa K Dei, and Makoma which features Mayorkun. He crowns the month of February with the release of the Nobody video which features King Promise.
KUAME EUGENE – With the success of his hit tune Angela across the world, Kuame followed up this past month with Confusion. In it’s two weeks, the song has featured on Live FM’s top ten most played with one of those weeks at the number one spot.
JOEY B – His recent single Sweetie Pie not only caught attention on social media, but also reflected on the live charts, spending 4 weeks on the charts and 1 week at the number 1 spot.
KING PROMISE – His hit song selfish spent 4 weeks at the top spot and crossed over into 2018. The video for his single’s Oh Yeah & Selfish hit over a million views in the last month. The song further got more social media traction via memes after Stephen Apia’s attempt to sing along.
MABIINA – Her song True Love has spent a total of 8 weeks on the Live charts this year and a total of 14 weeks counting 2017. This month, she finally dropped the much anticipated music video for the single to great reception.
