The 60th annual Grammy Awards took over New York City on Sunday night (Jan. 28), returning to the Big Apple for the first-time in 15 years.
Already winning “Best Music Video,” “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song” during the GRAMMYs pre-show, Kendrick Lamar opened the 2018 GRAMMYs in a major way.
Backed by a team of soldiers and the American flag, the TDE MC rocked the stage with an inspiring and a thrilling performance of “XXX.” and “LUST.” with the legendary U2. With interludes by comedian Dave Chappelle, Kendrick would continue his medley with a live rendition of “DNA.” and “King’s Dead.”
The 2018 GRAMMYs featured performances by Bruno Mars and Cardi B, Elton John, SZA, DJ Khaled with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Logic with Alessia Cara and Khalid, and more.
