Rapper Sarkodie bowed to Obrafour during their set at the 2017 RapperHolic concert as a way of acknowledging the former’s legendary status.
‘Yaanom,’ ‘Oye Ohene’ and ‘Saa Okodie No’ were the songs performed by the the two acts.
Prior to the latter’s act, there had been several reports that all was not well between the two – who seem to have a mentor and a mentee-relationship.
“If people want to misrepresent you, it doesn’t matter how much explanation you give. I did not mention Sarkodie’s name. If in the song I said an imaginary being who touched my crown is the one ‘Kasahari’ has revealed, then it is up to you for interpretation.” explained Obrafour during an interview with Citi 97.3 FM following reports that his song ‘Kasahari’ was targeted at Sarkodie.
The 2017 RapperHolic concert was held at the Accra International Conference Center on Monday, December 25.
JaySo, Worlasi, Efya, Kwesi Arthur, Kwaw Kese, Yaa Pono, R2Bees, Ko-Jo Cue, Shaker, King Promise, Becca, Joey B, Magnom, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Adina, Captain Planet, Koredo Bello, Samini and other artistes also performed at the concert.
The show was hosted by Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and Jay Foley.
