The Recording Academy has announced nominations for the 2018 Grammy Awards.

The 60th edition of the awards scheme will take place on January 28, 2018 at New York’s Madison Square Garden

Jay Z has a total of seven nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar (6), Childish Gambino (5), Bruno Mars (5) and SZA (5).

This year’s Album of the Year award is contested by Childish Gambino, JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and Bruno Mars, while Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels and SZA are all up for Best New Artist. In the rap categories, JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar dominate, with Rapsody, Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B, Migos and GoldLink all picking up well deserved nominations.
