Beyoncé has dethroned Taylor Swift as the highest-paid woman in music.
According to Forbes, Bey earned $105 million from June 2016 to June 2017, nearly doubling what she reportedly earned in the previous year. The substantial boost was a result of her critically acclaimed hit album Lemonade, as well as the Formation World Tour, which reportedly grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.
Adele came in at No. 2 on the Highest-Paid Women in Music list with $69 million. According to Forbes, Adele’s most recent tour (her first since 2011) contributed significantly to her earnings.
Swift, who led last year’s list with $170 million, took the No. 3 spot with $44 million; however, no one will be surprised if her newly released Reputation album and supporting stadium tour catapults her to the top next year.
