Dane is currently one of the hottest and most sought after music producers in Ghana. He has been making waves after his production works for BET Award and 2 times Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the year winner, Sarkodie for his songs like ‘Original’ and ‘Dear Rap.’

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel to musician parents, he was named Fortune Dane Kwadwo Asare.

He had his first magical moment getting acquainted with “noise” on his sixth birthday when his dad bought him a drum set on his sixth birthday. According to him, that was the best day of his life.

At age eight, he got introduced to Hip Hop listening to Will Smith, LL Cool J, Salt N Pepper, Snoop Dogg, Dr.Dre, Eazy E, Rakim, Nas, and others. He joined church choir after releasing he could sing.

At age eleven, Dane started rapping and writing songs but decided to start making his own beats when didn’t like the outcome of the production of the studio he recorded in.

I took notice of hip hop producers who produced hits for recording artistes. I took notice of Scott Storch, DJ Khaled and Dr.Dre. I became a huge fan of these three and at a point in time, I started messing with drums and keyboards and it felt really easy. I knew then that I could do this.

His daily routine is pretty “simple” work, studio, home. He currently has a record label (D.O.P.E Music).

Dane has worked with countless mainstream music artists including Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese, Paedae, Mugeez, D Black, Akwaboah, and Efya.
His advice to advice to upcoming producers is: “Be confident. Have faith in yourself. Listen to nobody who questions your potential. Always be determined. Never lose focus and don’t lose yourself on the process. Pray to God always.”
