Ghanaian filmmaker Akosua Adoma Owusu had a chat with the folks at Fresh Art International on their Fresh Talk podcast about her movie ‘Kwaku Ananse’ which won the Best Short Film at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2013.

The movie tells the story of a young outsider named Nyan Koronhwea attending her estranged father’s funeral. Nyan’s father led two separate lives with two wives and two families – one in Ghana, one in the United States. It stars musician Koo Nimo, Grace Omaboe, and singer Jojo Abot.
