Another edition of Bless The Mic (BTM) is set to take off this Saturday, August 15 at Champs Bar inside the Paloma Hotel at 8 pm.
With Dj Gucci Glasses on the turning tables and hosted by Kay Swag , it will feature performances by the city’s most promising unsung acts who will be backed by the Groove Unit Band.
In an interview with PY Addo Boateng, he said; “We recognize that our program is earning a trademark and has set a precedent for others to follow” Bless the Mic is excited to take the lead in creating a vibrant arts community among the youth in Accra and beyond.
Bless The Mic has since 2006 provided a platform for established and underground Ghanaian artists such as D-Black, Guru, Trigmatic, Sarkodie, Efya and M.anifest.
Bless The Mic is a platform for untapped local and international musical artists to showcase their talents in Ghana. From the beginning weekly small scale open-mic nights were organized in bars and pubs across Accra allowing young poets and hip hop artists to rhyme and battle, but since 2008, Bless The Mic has graduated to big concert events.
