Caitlyn Jenner may have just made her formal Vanity Fair debut in July, but she had been practicing this for a while.

In a new clip from Sunday’s episode of I Am Cait, Jenner tells Kim Kardashian and family friend Malika Haqq how she used to frequently practice her “feminine voice” when ordering room service in a hotel room. Her goal? To get a “Yes, ma’am.”

The two reenact, and Kim is rather unimpressed with her impression, joking, “You sound no different.”

“Women cannot relate to the whole voice thing,” Jenner says in the clip, which premiered on E! News. “They don’t see it as being that important, when it is that important — not only for you just to speak and order and do all that kind of stuff, but very important for your soul that you’re feeling good about that.”
